Restaurant Photography Project

Commercial photography rebrand | Restaurant shoot | Building exterior
Commercial photography rebrand | Restaurant shoot | Front of house staff
Commercial photography rebrand | Restaurant shoot | Chef in action, plating up
Commercial photography rebrand | Restaurant shoot | Mixologist shaking a cocktail

Project Description

The newly renamed Lyle set itself up as a fine dining establishment, the head chef being ex Ritz and a lavish interior re fit, and exterior re model.

I was approached for the job through the creative agency ‘Colley Raine Associates’, who I have worked with before on several projects.

They needed a complete set of images for the website as well as other marketing material. This meant exterior shots, interior shots, staff headshots, kitchen staff in action, and the front of house staff in action.

The manager was delighted with the results and I was delighted when he gave me a complimentary meal for two. My wife was delighted too!

Lingerie Photography

Lingerie photography | Light denier tights
Lingerie photography | Black tights
Lingerie photography for Scholl | Tights packet

Project Description

Central London agency 'Make Marks', selected me for their client’s new product project, based on a previous lingerie shoot. That shoot came to their attention on Linked In when I posted one of the pictures that had been awarded a major competition win.

The client 'Scholl Footwear', were expanding into the lingerie market with their ‘Light Legs’ products.

Initially Marks came to be with the challenge of how to make the model appear as if she is floating in air, as if performing a ballet jump. What’s more they wanted 100% authenticity which meant it had to be real and not a Photoshopped image or illustration. During the initial meetings I proposed 4 methods of creating this look, together with the pros and cons of each.

I provided the model casting as well as studio search, stylist, assistants and catering on the day.

Project description

Active Assistance is the UK’s leading provider of complex care. Including headshots of all staff members is important to them as putting a face to a name means a lot in this world.

Timings were agreed on and worked around all staff members being present that day, as well as meetings with key staff. I was allocated a room which is really helps to create a bit of privacy for each staff member. No one wants an audience when they’re being professionally photographed!

I made sure that all the staff were informed well before the day so they were prepared both mentally, as well as having a heads up for the wardrobe department.

By hiring a professional commercial portrait photographer, Active Assistance underscores its dedication to valuing and highlighting its employees, enhancing morale, and fostering a sense of recognition within its team.

These corporate headshot sessions fulfill various needs and are prominently displayed on their website, in company literature, and in press releases. Furthermore, employees value having up-to-date profile pictures for their LinkedIn profiles and other social media accounts.

For companies aiming to maintain a polished and professional image, investing in regular corporate portrait sessions can greatly improve brand perception and employee engagement.

Entrepreneurial partners Helen and Glen approached me to have their headshots refreshed. Each had specific requirements for the market they aim at, and we spent some time before the shoot discussing this so as to be fully prepared on the day.

I recommended a 2 stage shoot, one at a nearby location and the other at my studio in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
